“I enjoyed the parts of the lessons where we had to do independent thinking and got to share our thoughts. I also liked how the unit was us thinking about why nature had to be so important to us.”

The Harmony Manifesto Competition

Pupils write a Harmony Manifesto as their final piece. Details are in the scheme of learning.

Prizes and medals are awarded for the best entries and runners up; and certificates for all pupils.

How Bloom meets Ofsted criteria

Teaching the Bloom non-fiction programme gave my students an appreciation of nature I don't know they would have otherwise had. Students tell me about the natural world they have come across outside of lessons, like patterns in fruit or flowers. I too have developed a greater appreciation of nature through teaching it.”
